Dave Card and Adrianna Steele-Card create as individual artists and as a collaborative team. Dave sculpts primarily in wood consisting of burls, knots and cedar posts while Adrianna makes paper which serves as the canvas for her mixed media collages. Dave's wood comes from felled trees on logging trails, storm damaged trees and trees which have come to the end of thier life naturally. Adrianna uses natural materials such as birch bark and petals, as well as fibers such as chenille to create scenes suitable for children or the child in you. Both artists rely upon humour and their sensitive natures to capture the imagination of their viewing audience.
